Hummingbird Kitchen & Wine Bar

Hummingbird Wine Bar was ready for a transformation. As they evolved from a hip relaxed wine bar into a full-fledged Kitchen and Wine Bar, they sought a fresh visual identity that matched their elevated vision. They turned to Understory for a rebrand inspired by one of their favorite styles, Art Nouveau. The result was a sophisticated yet whimsical new look focusing on organic forms, custom type, intricate linework, and a timeless palette.

Included in our logo identity solution for Hummingbird was custom type in an Art Nouveau letterform style.

We love typography and letterforms and had a blast exploring several type options when working through our design explorations. We fell in love with our custom type solution and were very excited the client shared our enthusiasm by selecting it as the final logo type.

Our design explorations involved several options for logo marks and a few different typography takes.

All of our brand identity projects explore different options based on our client's direction, our research, and our design perspectives to deliver the best branded solutions. We are thrilled the client landed on a new brand identity they love and have started rolling out with enthusiasm.
